Our 23rd Commencement Exercises went off without a hitch thanks to the great people who put it together. Kudos to our fearless leader, Patricia Estrada who motivated everyone with her upbeat spirit and drive. Six NHU students have been selected to participate in the prestigious NASA Pre Service Teacher Institute planned for June 8-20th, 2008. The Institute will meet at the NASA, Ames Research Center in Mountain View. Please congratulate them. Go NHU!

Starting June 7th, the International Latino Film Society will team up with the San Jose Public Library to have a free film series on immigration named 'What Cannot Be Left Behind: A June 2008 Film Series'. The Castellano Family Foundation with the assistance of the G.I Forum is sponsoring a historical display at the Mexican Heritage Plaza. 1704 Alum Rock Ave. (corner of King and Story Rd) “WITNESS to HERITAGE/ LEGACY of VALOR “. The exhibit is of the Latino Recipients of the Congressional Medal of Honor, from the birth of our country to the most recent military conflicts.
